As my wife Janet and I were driving home on I-795 at shortly after 5pm (03-08-2009), we saw smoke billowing in the distance. Janet said; "I wonder whats burning, I hope that it's not our house!" At that point I looked up and I said "I'll bet that that is Rosewood!" I went home and grabbed my camera and unfortunately I was right! This was what was left of the main admissions building which was burned down in 2006. I have been documenting this place for quite some time and they have been working daily to tear this building down and today they had the help of this 2 alarm fire. I am very sad to see this go and hope that I will be able to help keep the story of "Rosewood the Asylum and Training School for the Feeble Minded" alive.
