stuart dahne  > Nature > Animals > Snakes, Snakes, and More Snakes
All my life I have loved all kinds of animals and have always been attracted to Reptiles, especially snakes. Although I am fascinated by these awesome creatures I understand that many people are not, however snakes have been intriguing man from as far back as Biblical times! Snakes have been used in so many symbolic ways over time, the Hopi Indians perform their ceremonial Snake Dance, a water ceremony. Originally the snakes were seen as the Guardians of the springs. The bible makes many references to snakes, one of which is "Taking up Snakes, Drinking Poison, and a Prayer for Healing". In Scottish Folklore, Highlanders had a tradition of pounding the ground with a stick until the serpent emerged. The snake's behavior gave them a good idea of how much frost was left in the season. And these examples go on and on, however my vision is to find and share as much of the beauty of these often feared and misunderstood creatures! I hope that you can relax and enjoy my vision! Thanks for stopping by!
Peace and Blessings,
Stuart
